Woman Threatens Boyfriend With Handgun During Argument in Grand Traverse Co.
On Saturday afternoon, Michigan State Police troopers and Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to an Elk Lake Road Home in Whitewater Township for a report of a felonious assault.
The victim alleged his girlfriend, 49-year-old Robin Lee Haveman from Williamsburg, threatened him with a handgun during an argument and then fled the scene.
Haveman called 911 and asked to speak with police, and later met troopers at the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office.
Haveman told troopers she had hidden the handgun under a pillow in the bedroom before she left, which was later found by a Sheriff's Office Deputy.
Haveman was arrested and lodged in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
She was arraigned yesterday in Grand Traverse County for one count Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and one count Felony Firearm.
She was given a $25,000 bond and her next scheduled court appearance is on December 13 at 11:00 a.m.
