Prosecutors and defense lawyers rested their case today in the trial of three men accused of assisting the 2020 plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Joe Morrison, Pete Musico, and Paul Bellar are all tied to the "Wolverine Watchmen", a paramilitary group accused of trying to kidnap Governor Whitmer, which included scouting her vacation home in northern Michigan.
The trio are not accused of having a direct role in that scheme.
The main charge is providing material support for a terrorist act, especially gun drills and ambush training.
Morrison, Musico, and Bellar chose not to testify.
Closing arguments were scheduled for Monday.
