Multiple Schools Affected Following Bomb Threat During Lake-Osceola State Bank Robbery
Multiple schools were closed and locked down today after a bank teller was given a note stating a bomb was at an unnamed school.
Just after 10 a.m. this morning, a note that was given to the teller at the Lake-Osceola State Bank robbery stated there was a bomb at a school, however, it made no reference to a particular school. For safety reasons, security and lockdown protocols have been activated in area schools, including Marion Public Schools and Baldwin Public Schools.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office, as well as other agencies, are actively working on the unarmed robbery, and state that they believe there is no threat to the public, however, this is a precautionary measure.
