Jordan Bischel Talks About CMU Baseball

Even though this is the off-season for college baseball, it's not stopping Central Michigan from getting better this Summer, with hopes of making the College World Series next year.
Head Coach Jordan Bischel says he's looking towards next season, coming off one of their best campaign in program history. The Chippewas made it to the NCAA tournament again, but they fell to Florida in the Gainesville Regional, in a heartbreaking loss. Then in the MLB Draft, 3 of their players were selected in the first 10 rounds, which is a first in program history. Pitcher Andrew Taylor was taken in the second round by the Houston Astros. Jakob Marsee were selected by the San Diego Padres in the sixth round, and Mario Camilletti went into the 10th to the Chicago White Sox. With the overall great season and success of the players getting drafted, the Chips are motivated to improve, with the hopes of playing in Omaha someday, or even getting the call to the big leagues. A number of players are playing in various Summer leagues. Bischel says they will be younger next year, but the talent in getting bigger and better.
