Cherry Festival is the celebrating of all things cherry and below is a preview of what you can expect in the upcoming day beginning on Saturday.

Traverse City is under transforming as it gets ready for this year's festival. The 96th annual national cherry festival kicks off this Saturday and runs through July 9th.

Kat Paye, the festival executive director said the spectacular fest will feature over 150 events in just eight days.

Participants can expect to see an amazing air show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

According to the festival's website, attendees will be able to pick between three parades this year, and the musical line up has a little something for everyone

"The Pepsi Bay side stage presented by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Michigan. We start off with Cheryl Crow on Saturday night, we end with Boys to Men and in the middle we have a little Nelly," said Kat Paye, the Executive Director of the National Cherry Festival."
