Man Arrested for Multiple Charges After Fleeing Law Enforcement in Cadillac
On Monday afternoon, a Wexford County Sheriff's Office Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a Cadillac resident wanted on an Absconder Warrant.
The driver failed to stop and drove recklessly through the streets of Cadillac between South Mackinaw Trail and Holly Road.
The driver evaded the Deputy by running stop signs and driving through private property parking lots at high rates of speed.
The Deputy terminated the chase for safety and searched the area for the vehicle.
A resident on Holly Road located the vehicle in their backyard and alerted Law Enforcement.
Law Enforcement arrived and found the driver and two passengers, one was a 2-year-old boy, in the area.
Neither passenger was injured.
The driver was arrested for Flee and Elude, Parole Violation, and Child Abuse 4th Degree.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending arraignment.
