On Tuesday around 5:43 p.m. a Michigan State Police trooper stopped a vehicle for a moving violation on North Mitchell Street near Works Avenue in Haring Township.

State Police say the driver, 31-year-old Louis Junior Murringer III from Buckley, was identified by his Michigan Identification Card. He did not have a valid license.

Murringer displayed signs of intoxication and refused to perform sobriety tests. He also refused to take a chemical test.

A search warrant was obtained, and a blood draw was performed at Munson Healthcare in Cadillac. Murringer was lodged in the Wexford County Jail pending arraignment.

Murringer has arraigned yesterday in the 84th District Court in Wexford County for one count Felony Operating While Intoxicated Third Offense. He was given a PR bond and his next scheduled court appearance is on May 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
