Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is having his suspension reduced to begin the regular season.

He will miss the first two games instead of three.  The suspension is an incident at the end of last season. During a bench clearing incident with the Detroit Tigers in late September Anderson made contact with the umpire. The first two White Sox games are in Detroit against the Tigers.
