TNT Arrest Pair in Kalkaska Co. on Drug Charges
Detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team and Conservation Officers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources conducted search warrants at a home in Cold Springs Township, Kalkaska County on February 25.
According to TNT, a man at the home was suspected of violating several conservation laws, illegally possessing weapons, and being involved in the trafficking of crystal methamphetamine.
During the execution of the search warrant, TNT seized approximately 40 grams of crystal methamphetamine, several grams of fentanyl, and related drug paraphernalia.
DNR officers seized nine firearms including two unregistered handguns and one stolen shotgun.
29-year-old Christopher Logan was arraigned on February 25th for possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, habitual offender 2nd notice, and was given a $100,000 cash bond.
A woman at the home, 29-year-old Emily Atkinson, was also arraigned on February 25th for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine. She was issued a $50,000 cash bond.
The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are being sought with the Kalkaska County Prosecutors Office.
