Los Angeles Chargers are filling a gap in their coaching staff.

They have named Brendan Nugent as their new offensive line coach.  He replaces Frank Smith, who is now the Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator.  Nugent had spent the last seven seasons with the New Orleans Saint.  The Chargers also announced Chris Gould is now an assistant special teams coach and Mike Hiestand is an offensive assistant.  Both were with the Denver Broncos last season.
