On Sunday around 10:40 A.M, the Kalkaska Department of Public Safety Officers conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on Elm St near Hyde St for a registration violation.

The vehicle was seen leaving the North Country American Inn Motel.

According to the press release, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found over 33 grams of Methamphetamine and other narcotics to include “crack” cocaine, Hydrocodone pills and other Schedule 2 narcotic pills.

Officers also located over $900 in cash, digital scales and other signs of narcotic distribution. Both occupants were arrest for possession with intent to deliver of Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine and other controlled substances.

44 year old Kennith Leser of Lewiston, was lodged at the Kalkaska County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver 4th habitual offender and is being held on a $100,000 bond,

30 year old Brittnie Mclain also from Lewiston was lodge at Kalkaska County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver and is being held on a $30,000 bond.
