The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Friday at 11:28am.

The crash occurred on East Duck Lake Road near Brigham Road.

A northbound Mercedes crossed the center line while negotiating a curve and struck a southbound pickup truck and the camper being pulled by the truck.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 36 year old male from Grawn, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 31 year old male also from Grawn, was not injured.

The Sheriff's Office states that speed was a factor in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
