NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — No. 3 Oklahoma tries to extend its 10-game win streak as the Sooners host former Big 12 rival Nebraska. Oklahoma likely can’t afford a loss and remain in the national title hunt. The Sooners want to keep building momentum after rolling past Western Carolina 76-0. The game gives Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler a big stage to boost his Heisman hopes. A Nebraska win could take pressure off coach Scott Frost, who has struggled since taking over before the 2018 season.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — No. 7 Texas A&M looks to extend its winning streak to 11 games as the Aggies host New Mexico. Quarterback Zach Calzada will make his first career start for A&M because Haynes King out indefinitely after surgery to repair a broken leg. New Mexico is led by QB Terry Wilson. He is a Kentucky transfer who has thrown six touchdowns without an interception this season. Both teams are 2-0.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — No. 8 Cincinnati has dominated its first two opponents and has won 21 of its last 24 games. The Bearcats face their biggest test so far this season as they visit Indiana. Cincinnati has an opportunity to make a statement to the playoff committee. But the Hoosiers have a chance to get things back on track after an embarrassing season-opening loss at No. 18 Iowa.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — No. 15 Virginia Tech is on the road for the first time this season, facing West Virginia in the Mountaineers’ first sold-out game in two years. At stake is the Black Diamond Trophy, a nod to the region’s rich history with coal. The Hokies are going after their fourth straight win in the series. West Virginia is coming off a 66-0 win over Long Island of the Championship Subdivision. The Mountaineers allowed just 95 total yards and forced 10 punts. The Hokies’ four interceptions this season are tied for fifth most in the nation.

MIAMI (AP) — The 24th-ranked Miami Hurricanes need a win at home against Michigan State to remain in the AP Top 25 and avoid what would be its second 1-2 start in the last three seasons. Michigan State could return to the national rankings with a victory. The Spartans’ last appearance in the AP Top 25 was in September 2019.
