LSU is putting in place COVID-19 rules for fans attending their home games.

The Tigers are requiring anyone attending Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who is 12 years old or older to show a proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours prior to the game.  LSU is doing this because officials say there is a rise in COVID-19 cases in the state of Louisiana.  Fans younger than 12 will not have to show proof or a negative test.  However, masks will be required for children between 5 and 11 years old and encouraged for those younger than 5. The CDC says less than 51 percent of adults in the state of Louisiana are fully-vaccinated.
The policy will go into effect for LSU's home opener against McNeese State on September 11th.
