US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) says there has been a rise in suspects using firearms to shoot at border agents in Texas and California.
This Wednesday the agency says they are taking threats and shots as acts of violence seriously.
CPB claims that the attacks are a reminder that criminals will stop ant nothing to further their illegal activities.
US border patrol is collaborating with federal and Mexican law enforcement authorities regarding these recent incidents.
The most likely suspects are transnational criminal organizations who smuggle people, criminals, weapons, cash, drugs, and other through sophisticated criminal networks.
