The Tim Tebow experiment at the tight end position with the Jacksonville Jaguars has come to an end.

After Jags head coach Urban Meyers and the Jacksonville organization officially released Tebow on Tuesday, potentially bringing to an end one of the most polarizing football careers in recent memory.

The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner at the University of Florida led an improbable playoff run with the Denver Broncos, peaking with a win in the AFC Wild Card round against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2011, but was unable to find work as a quarterback shortly thereafter.

Tebow played minor league baseball with the New York Mets before getting one more chance to make an NFL roster as a tight end......

Tebow thanked the Jaguars organization for the opportunity and everyone who supported him during his journey.
