Traverse City Woman Arraigned For Causing Multi-Car Collision
A Traverse City woman has been arraigned after causing a multi-vehicle car crash.
On Friday evening, 25-year-old Shannon Marie Gouin was driving east on M-115 in Antioch Township when she struck a Ford pickup truck, driven by a 35-year-old Sebewaing man, that was also eastbound near the end of the passing lanes. Both vehicles lost control and crossed the center of the road. The pickup truck then struck a Ford explorer.
Gouin displayed signs of intoxication and was arrested. She was examined at the Munson Cadillac Emergency Room but appeared uninjured from the crash.
The occupants of the Ford Explorer, a 51-year-old man, a 15-year-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, and a seven-year-old girl, all from Grawn, and the driver of the Ford pickup truck were transported to Munson Hospital in Traverse City for injuries sustained.
Gouin was arraigned Monday in Wexford County for four counts Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury, four counts Reckless Driving Causing Serious Impairment, one count Operating with a High Blood Alcohol Level, and one count Operating While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $10,000 with house arrest condition and her next scheduled court appearance is on June 22 at 2:00 p.m.
