The company announced the move yesterday. The exercise equipment maker has invested $400 million to build the one million square foot facility. This is in an effort to ramp production of it cycles and high-end treadmills. This is despite a recent treadmill recall. The new plant will be in Troy Township. Now that’s not far from Toledo. It’s expected to bring about 2,000 jobs to the area. But don’t get too excited just yet the factory won’t open until 2023.
And some new developments on the fight against COVID-19, Moderna boasting high efficiency rate in teens.
The company says the vaccine is 93% effective after one dose and a staggering 100% effective after two doses. This in kids ages 12-15. The news comes from late stage clinical trials. 3,700 teens took part in the study. In the trials ? of the recipients received the vaccine with the other third receiving a placebo. Not one of the vaccine recipients had a symptomatic case of covid-19 and the placebo group had four cases.
