A Flint man was arrested after attempting to assault a woman while she was sleeping.

Early on Tuesday morning, officers were dispatched to a home on Fuller Ave for the report of a home invasion and attempted assault.

The caller told police she had been sleeping when she was woken up by a naked 23-year-old man named Marcus Deion Matiere-Bay pulling her toward the edge of her bed and attempting to assault her.

She told police she recognized him and yelled for him to stop. When she struggled, he fled the scene.

As she called 911, he returned and attempted to assault her again.

She screamed and he fled the scene again.

While officers were on scene speaking with the caller, Marcus ran by the home wearing only a sweatshirt. After a short foot pursuit, Marcus was taken into custody and later lodged at the Mecosta County Jail.

He was arraigned on charges of Home Invasion 1st degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st degree, Criminal Sexual Conduct Assault, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and was held on a $75,000 bond.
